Who We Are
Minors On Tour is a huge undertaking each year, and many many people put in a lot of effort into making sure it runs smoothly. Well, smooth-ish… The following Rogues Gallery comprises mug shots of some of the people you should be avoidinglooking out for.
Pam Holmes
MOT Organiser. Need to book in on site? Here’s your girl. Has unnerving ability to remain smiling in a tent when its throwing it down.
Graham and Jenny Ryder
Thinks he organises things, but we all know behind the scenes its Jenny who does it. Jenny organises Le Raffle, plus errand runner for Graham.
Chris Ryder and Lily
Runs the on-site bar, so important to befriend. Doesn’t do a lot else I can think of…
Chris and Anne Bush
Organisers for Le Walk, which I know absolutely nothing about because I’m busy that day. Or I’m a lazy git. You choose.
Martin Wallis
Does anybody know what useful function this bloke provides? Oh yes, coordinates lists of all spare parts carried and spare parts delivery in France, stuff like that.
Dave and Jackie Walker
Head up ‘Le Auction’ with their team of auctioneers and porters for our nominated charities. Experienced at extracting money from anyone in vicinity.
Brian Fletcher
Brian leads the team of judges who pick the prize winning cars on MOT. So make sure you buy him beer. Not that that’s ever worked for me…
Andrew Dyer
Trip Organiser. Bloody hopeless. But then he also owns a vintage bus, so he’s alright by me ‘cos I wanna go in it. Hint…
Ash Holmes
MOT Organiser. Likes the sound of his own voice, usually through a megaphone.
Amy Ryder and Chris
Responsible for the annual logo and heaps of other stuff, including helping with the bar each evening.
Pete & Helen Coslett
Helen manages all the MOT clothing. Pete hangs around and gets in the way.
The Portwood Family
‘Le Quiz’ is one of our most popular events and all the Portwoods – Lynn, Dave, Pippa, and Jessica – organise this. Personally, I find cheating works well.
Brian and Sue Springall
Responsible for ‘Le Drive’, our annual attempt to gridlock the local French road network. And we’re bloody good at it, too!
Mike Dean
Manages the MOT website (yes, this one), part-time gnome-gnapper, official auction harrasser, general pain in the backside.
Bill Reed
Bilingual Bill provides translation for things like garage services, dentists, negotiating discounts, etc. I’m good already though – ‘Parlyvoo Franglish? Wee madam’ See?
Jonathon Fletcher
Responsible for creating all the prizes for best cars, supported by Guy Allen.
