Minors on Tour 2009 will be in the sunny Vendee region on the Atlantic coast of France, from Saturday 23rd to Saturday 30th May 2009.
We, Pam and Ash Holmes, will be leading the team of volunteers making the arrangements for MOT 2009 and hope that for next years’ MOT there will be even more people offering to contribute by organising events on what we are sure will be an enjoyable rally. It will be the 27th MOT.
The Vendee is an area full of interesting and entertaining things to do and …

Thonnance les Moulins is a very small village set in the heavily wooded rolling hills of the Haute-Marne département of the Champagne-Ardenne region of northern France.
Joinville, the nearest large town, is about 14kms to the west: it straddles the River Marne and the Canal de la Marne à la Saône, and has all the facilities you should need, including hypermarkets, banks, a Tourist Office, cafés, bars and restaurants.
The small town of Poissons, with shops, cafés, bars and restaurants is just a short drive (4kms), or a nice walk, from the …

Minors on Tour 2007, the Silver Jubilee – Saturday 26th May to Saturday 2nd June 2007.
The rally preview article appeared in the September/October 2006 issue of Minor Matters.
The venue for the event will be Camping Les Saules at Cheverny in the Loir-et-Cher region of central France, about 8 miles south-east of Blois.
The region is perhaps most famous for its many Chateaux, varied in age, size, and architectural style, some classed as ‘Royal’, many with wonderfully landscaped gardens, others with interesting museums and displays, and all of them worth visiting. It …

If the name of the venue for MOT 2006 sounds familiar, it is probably because the trip went there in 1993.
Some of you may be asking why we are going to the same area: well, many MOT’ers who have become hooked on the MMOC’s annual overseas rally in recent years may not have been to that region of France, and those who have been there in their Minor will almost certainly have some very happy memories.
Within a 45 mile radius of the campsite are myriad attractions steeped in history; names …

The rendevous for MOT 2005 is Camping La Croix du Vieux Pont near the village of Berny-Rivière (which is north of the river Aisne, between Compiègne and Soissons, about 60 miles north-east of the centre of Paris).
About a kilometre to the west is the small town of Vic-sur-Aisne, which spans the river, and is the point of access to the main road (RN31-E46) which runs east to Soissons and west to Compiègne.
The 370 pitch campsite is ideal for the 23rd annual MMOC overseas rally, large enough to have the facilities …

The Black Forest, Schwarzwald, is probably one of the prettiest areas of Germany. With its huge stands of dark fir trees, deep dark pools and glacial lakes, clear mountain streams and meandering valleys dotted with picturesque villages, it is little wonder that for centuries tourists and seekers after peace have found what they are looking for here in the Baden Württemberg region. The hot springs, particularly those to the north at Baden Baden, were known to 1st century Romans, ancient monasteries dot the once inaccessible places, 11th century castles, stately …

CAMPSITE: Le Parc Sainte Brigitte, La Turballe, Brittany, France.
The lovely 120 acre Parc Sainte Brigitte, which dates from the early middle ages, and the late seventeenth century Manoir de Brehet (Breton for Brigitte), is the home of Mme Brigitte de Chabalier, named after the estate, where she has lived since her birth there during the second World War. In the early 1960′s Mme de Chabalier and her father set up the campsite which Mme Brigitte has lovingly tended since the death of her father four years later.
